产地概况
高身鲫是自古以来就分布在日本各地的一种鱼。为了享受与高身鲫进行拉锯大战的乐趣,人们设计出了专用钓竿“纪州竹制钓竿”。几乎所有工序都是手工完成,需要1位工匠用时1年左右才能完成。纪州竹制钓竿由工匠的技艺和优质竹子制作而成,是在自然环境中享受与鱼儿博弈的极品玩具。

素胎组装
经典做法是“穗先(竿梢)”使用斑竹,“穗持(竿身)”使用高野竹,“三番(把手竿)”或“元(根部竿)”使用箭竹。判断标准是竹子的长度、粗细、韧性和弯曲度等。

这是用炭火烘烤原竹,修正竹子形状的工序。使用一种称作“矫木”的专用工具进行矫正,提升竹子本身的反弹力。

穗先(竿梢)使用刀具或锉具削成最佳的均衡状态。手柄采用藤工艺、干漆、螺钿等传统技法,精心设计。

主体涂漆、收尾
玉口用丝线加固,反复进行涂漆和磨花。在竹芽涂上一种称为“润饰”的漆。最后,在钓竿整体叠加涂漆,进行收尾的加热后完工。
